GM has launched the new variant of its SUV the Chevrolet Captiva at Rs 24.59 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The new Captiva's biggest addition is its engine: the 2.0-litre mill it shares with the Cruze is now joined by a 2.2-litre one that generates 186.5bhp and 424Nm. The manual version is reserved for the 2.0-litre engine, but the 2.2 is available only with a six-speed automatic transmission. Among the features are cruise control, third-row HVAC control, an electric parking brake, automatic wipers and a sunroof. There is also a remote-operated tailgate glass, storage space below the boot floor, a cooled glove box and a rear centre console storage area. Three 12-volt power outlets accessible to all passengers are also available. The interior is black leather and the audio system has a 2DIN head unit feeding six speakers. The windows are electrically adjustable, as is the driver's seat and a climate control system is standard.Safety has been taken care of with six airbags and ABS with EBD.
The new Captiva's range begins at Rs 18.74 lakh for the 2.0MT, Rs 19.48 lakh for the 2.0 Xtreme and Rs 24.59 for the 2.2 AT AWD, ex-showroom, Delhi.
