General Motors India have kickstarted their 2016 innings with the launch of the refreshed Chevrolet Beat. Priced between Rs 4.28 lakh and Rs 5.55 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the refreshed Beat comes with updated interiors, added safety equipment and more colour options.
For 2016, the Beat gets additional equipment such as remote keyless entry with foldable key, a driver side airbag for the LT variant, body-coloured door handles and silver interior highlights on lower versions. Besides these, GM India has also included two new colour options and a new nomenclature for the top-spec version as LTZ.
Mechanically, the new Beat continues to be powered by the same set of petrol and diesel units – a 1.2-litre petrol and a 936cc diesel engine. As for safety equipment, the top-spec LTZ variant comes with dual front airbags, ABS and EBD as standard.
Available with seven colour options, the new Chevrolet Beat is now on sale and competes with the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Honda Brio and the upcoming Tata Zica.
