After the SYMC acquisition, Mahindra has already chalked out its next move. The long wait for the Global SUV or W201, as it is codenamed, is finally over. Dr. Pawan Goenka stated yesterday at a press conference that the SUV will make its way into the Indian markets and also said that the car will be making its way to Korea so that the Ssangyong engineers too could take a look at it.
The W201 will boast of a 2.2-litre common rail unit mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Automatics will also be offered for the International markets. Dr. Goenka also said that the Kornado-C and the Rexton will soon follow suit. Both the cars are expected to come in the later half of 2012.
