The GLC crossover will be the headliner at the Mercedes-Benz stall at the 2016 Auto Expo. The crossover will be joined by a range of vehicles from across the German automaker’s range currently available in India.
The GLC was unveiled in late 2014 and is a replacement for the GLK. Under the German automaker’s revised nomenclature, the GLC is a crossover version attached to the C-Class range. It is later expected to spawn a coupe version called the GLC Coupe. In appearance, the GLC looks like a stretched out version of the GLA crossover as it has similar lines and design. The cabin has been picked up from the C-Class and carries over the design as well as the feature list. On the engine front, the GLC will be offered in the GLC 220 d and 250 d 4MATIC variants for the Indian market.
Moving ahead we expect to see all the cars from their current line-up. This includes the A-Class, B-Class, C-Class, E-Class, S-Class as well as the larger vehicles like the GLA, GLE, GL-Class and obviously the GLC. On the eye-candy front, we expect the full AMG range right from the CLA45 AMG to the monstrous AMG GT-S to be out and shining in their metal best.
But, we expect them to up the ante a bit more by bringing us something even more special to see. In this case we believe that it will be their 2015 season winning F1 W06 Hybrid race car. Yes, the very same car that gave Lewis Hamilton his third world title, Nico Rosberg a second place in the standings and Mercedes AMG Petronas their second consecutive world title.
