To celebrate 20 years of its presence at the Geneva Motor Show, Tata has unveiled its EVision concept sedan. It’s the third unveiling for Tata this year and was showcased alongside the H5X SUV and 45X premium hatchback.
Designed as a vehicle to showcase where Tata is going with its premium models, the EVision’s design highlights include the signature Tata ‘Humanity Line’ that comprises the grille, chrome laden DLO and uniquely design lamps that wrap around the lines of the rear including the spoiler.
There is a sense of familiarity with the interiors as you can see many of the current Tata cabin design elements but instead of black and silver everything, has been trimmed out in multiple shades of beige, brown and with wood inserts. The cabin appears to be minimalistic, but we know for certain that multiple digital displays including a full colour instrument cluster are in the offing.
The EVision is, as the name suggests, an electric vehicle and will be underpinned by Tata’s OMEGA EV modular architecture and is likely to be the first model for the same if it is brought to life. The company hits at multiple driver assistance systems as well as a host of connected car technologies.
There is no word on the powertrain or batteries, but Tata does say that the EVision will do the 0-100kmph dash in seven seconds and then go on to hit a top speed of 200kmph!
