Maserati has taken the stage at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show with a Nerissimo Edition of the Ghibli, Quattroporte and Levante. Nerissimo which means ‘very black’, adds black finishes both inside and outside the Italian exotics.
All three Maseratis get black paint job with all-black trims like the grille, window trim, exhaust tips and the wheels. There are a few chrome inserts though to break the monotony of the black finish. On the inside, you guessed it, there is an all-black upholstery. However, one can also opt for the carbonfibre interior trim on the Ghibli and Quattroporte. Compared to the standard Quattroporte and Ghibli, the sedans get Maserati’s new Integrated Vehicle Control stability system as standard now. Meanwhile, on the Levante, there is additional underbody protection. The fog lamps can be had with a surround black finish as well. The Ghibli, on the other hand, comes loaded with sports seats with heating function, heated steering, power sunblind and tinted windows. The special edition also adds a choice of 20- or 21-inch wheels on all the three cars. The Nerissiomo Edition can be had on the base and Gransport trims.
Maserati has also updated the feature list of the Quattroporte with keyless entry extended to the rear doors as part of the pack. As a part of the 2018 model year update, these three cars also come with electric power steering replacing the hydraulic systems. The Modena-based carmaker claims that the steering feel remains unchanged despite the update.
Sharing the Geneva stage with the Nerissimo editions are the new and updated versions of the GranTurismo and GranCabrio. The Italian duo was revealed earlier this year and made their public debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Maserati hasn’t revealed the pricing details of the Nerissimo Editions of the triad yet.
