In a move that was widely expected, Skoda has unveiled an L&K spec model for its Kodiaq SUV. The L&K variant is the highest spec model that you can buy for a Skoda car and is named after the founders of Skoda-Václav Laurin and Václav Klement.
Externally, the Kodiaq L&K has been given new bumpers, full LED headlights, 19-inch L&K spec wheels and electric tailgate, heated mirrors, 360 degree surround camera and of course L&K badges at the rear and side. Inside, it´s got leather seat covers, 10 shade ambient lighting, aluminium pedals, 550 watt 10 speaker system and because this is a Skoda - umbrellas in receptacles in the front doors.
The L&K is a trim level and so mechanically you get the same four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines present in the standard car. However, because this is a top spec model, we expect that Skoda will only offer it with an AT and AWD combination for both engine options.
Is it coming to India? We certainly believe so, but Skoda will have to price the trim level competitively as the current Kodiaq is only offered in top spec trim and is priced at Rs 34.51 lakhs.
