Lamborghini has finally revealed the Huracan Performante supercar at the Geneva International Motor Show. It is the fastest Lamborghini ever to lap the famous Nurburgring clocking a record lap time of 6:52:01 minutes beating many supercars on its way to the record.
The Lamborghini Huracan Performante also marks the debut of the Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva – the active aerodynamics package that has been at the fore of this performance. The Lamborghini Performante has deployable flaps on the front splitter as well as the rear wing which are controlled electronically to aid the cornering forces and also reduce drag during acceleration.
The Performante gets a new front bumper and rear splitter design to add to the aero package along with the abundant use of carbon-fibre. The lightened car is powered by the 5.2-litre naturally engine that now develops 631bhp of power at 8000rpm. It gets four-wheel drive and a tweaked four-wheel drive system to transfer all the power to the road. The Pirelli Trofeo tyres will be standard on the car.
The Performante hustles past 100kmph in just 2.9 seconds to a top speed of over 320kmph. It comes with a price tag of 173,271 British pounds, close to Rs 2 crore in Indian money which looks like a steal for this car. The deliveries will start mid-2017.
