The 2017 Geneva Motor Show kicks off next week and the Italian carmakers have revealed their line-up which would exalt their Geneva stall this year. Fiat will be celebrating the sixtieth anniversary of 500 in Geneva and will debut new trims and limited editions of its portfolio. An alternate fuelled Panda will also be showcased, alongside a new addition to the Panda family. Abarth, on the other hand, will star the new version of 595, 124 Spider and introduce various accessories and conversion kits.
The Fiat 500 has turned 60 years old this year and Fiat will be celebrating the anniversary with a special limited edition. The special edition will get new two-tone paintwork with designer 16-inch alloy wheels. It will be joined by a masculine 500S.The S-Design will debut a more male orientated iteration of Fiat’s ‘cute’ cars. The S-Design motif will be followed by the Tipo five-door version and the 500X at the Geneva stand. Fiat will go ahead and introduce an all-new Fullback Cross pick-up. The off-road treatment would continue to the roadster in the line-up – the 124 Spider which will sport a special “Europa” limited edition design. The Panda family will welcome a new member in form of a Panda Cross, along with the Natural Power variant, which runs on natural gas. The next exhibit will be the 500L which would be showcased in a new ‘Trekking’ version, in a two-tone livery.
Abarth
Abarth will bring the new Pista special series of the 595 to the Geneva stage. Joining the Pista will be Abarth 695 XSR Yamaha Limited Edition. The Yamaha collaboration is in this third year now and has also spawned the Yamaha XSR900 Abarth motorbike, which will be showcased alongside the 695 XSR. The 124 Spider will come along with two version, one of which will be called ‘Scorpione’. Abarth tune-up kits and accessories will also be showcased. Three conversion kits will be flaunted by the 595 at the Geneva stage.
