One of the much awaited electric car models, the Honda e, has been unveiled at the ongoing Frankfurt Motor Show. As for now, the Japanese car manufacturer has revealed the prices only for the German market. The e electric vehicle from Honda is available at a starting price of 29,470 Euros for the 100kW version and 32,470 Euros for the 113kW. Deliveries for the vehicle are expected to commence by summer 2020.
The Honda e is reportedly powered by a 35.5kWh lithium-ion battery that offers a 220kms driving range on a single charge. The electric vehicle supports AC charging via a Type 2 connection. The Japanese car manufacturer offers the Honda Power Charger with a 7.4 kW (single-phase power supply) and 22 kW (three-phase power supply) outputs as one home charging solution. The 22kW variant offers owners an option to charge their cars to 100 per cent in just 4 hours 10 minutes. Moreover, the DC charging with a CCS2 connection will offer 80 per cent charge in just 30 minutes.
The electric powertrain is available in two output options – 100kW which produces 134bhp and 113kW unit that produces 152bhp of power, both with a maximum torque output of 315Nm. As for performance, it is believed that the Honda e is capable of sprinting from 0-100kmph in eight seconds.
