German car manufacturer Volkswagen has unveiled the sixth-generation Polo, called the Polo Beats at the ongoing 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The latest five-door model claims to be roomier and more feature loaded than its predecessor. The new Polo is based on MQB A0 platform and measures 4,053mm in length, 1,7511mm in width and 1,446mm in height, which makes the new model 81mm longer, 63mm wider and 7mm lower than its predecessor.
As the name suggests, the Polo Beats gets the upgraded sound system, along with standard equipment like 16-inch alloy wheels and darkened exterior elements. The new Polo will continue to be sold in familiar variants like - Trendline, Comfortline and Highline trims. The refreshed interior features new dashboard and steering wheel along with mild changes to contemporary switchgears. Additionally, the new model claims is believed to offer additional 15mm increase in headroom in the front, while the rear occupants get an additional 30mm increase in headroom.
If launched in India, the new model will continue to be powered in existing engine options. As for the international market, it will get as much as four petrol engine options and one diesel engine.
