The Skoda Kodiaq is coming to India but in a standard guise. Sporty SUV enthusiasts will have to wait longer for this- the Kodiaq Sportline. It’s a Kodiaq - big, cheerful, loaded with features and now with sporty overtones. Basically, it has all the goodness of the Skoda Kodiaq, but with sporty overtones to those who want something more from their bear-monikered SUV.
As the name suggests, you get a black pack which covers the grille, roof rails, ORVMs and the perimetre of the glass area. The rest of the car remains unchanged save for some silver accents at the rear. Inside, its business as usual with all the fancy Skoda bits on offer, but now it has been trimmed out in alacantara rather than wood, leather and plastic.
The India-spec Kodiaq is expected to be offered with a 1.4-litre petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel. Expect both engines to be offered only with AT options. We expect that the 2.0-litre diesel variant will get AWD as an optional extra.   Â
The Kodiaq is launching next month and it looks like we might have to wait quite a bit longer for this Sportline trim.
