Bugatti unveiled the magnificent Chiron at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. For those who have been unaware about its feat, the Bugatti Chiron is the record holder for accelerating from start to 400kmph and braked back to standstill in just 42 seconds! Reports indicate that of the total 500 units produced, around 300 units of the Chiron have already been sold.
Mechanically, the Bugatti Chiron is powered by a new 8.0-litre W16 engine that generates 1,480bhp of power and 1600Nm of torque. The car is capable of sprinting from standstill to 100kmph in just 2.5-seconds and does a 200kmph in 6.5-seconds. The Chiron is capable of clocking a top speed of 500kmph. The car gets intelligent air intake management which significantly improves aerodynamic properties and enhances the cooling efficiency of the engine. Moreover, the brakes have been redesigned and equipped with a newly developed heat shield that offers high-efficiency brake cooling and actively guides the air through the brake disks.
The cockpit layout of the Chiron gives the driver all the necessary information within his field of vision. The mechanical speedometer, which goes up to the magic 500kmph mark, is a feast for the eyes. The units on the central console which are milled from a single piece of solid aluminum, have independent adjustable displays. Moreover, the Chiron gets the world's longest built-in LED illumination system. The C-shaped lighting composition displays a breathtaking interior that adeptly blends beauty along with functionality.
