BMW took the Frankfurt stage with a futuristic i Vision Dynamics concept. Being a part of BMW Group’s NEXT 100 vision vehicles, the i Vision Dynamics concept is a four-door Gran Coupe. The Munich-based carmaker boasts of a range of 600 kilometres, a top speed of over 200kmph and a 0-100 kmph time of four seconds.
BMW plans to launch more than 25 models with an electrified drive system by the year 2025. The production version of the i Vision Dynamics would be positioned between the i3 and i8. So the futuristic EV from the Frankfurt stage could spawn the new model that will join the BMW’s i family.
The i Vision Dynamics looks truly futuristic. BMW is following the “I do more with less” philosophy with its future i products. The extra-large kidney grille is newly designed. It incorporates sensors for its (semi-) autonomous driving credentials. The smooth flowing roofline meets sleek LED tail lights. The tail lights seem to be scrounged from the Z4 Concept revealed at Pebble Beach last month. BMW has not divulged any interior or powertrain details.
The i Vision Dynamics concept comes as a design study for future electric cars from the German carmaker. If conceptualised, the road-going version of this concept could pose as a direct rival to the Tesla Model S.
