Ford has unveiled 2013 Fiesta facelift sedan at the Sao Paulo Motor Show. As expected the mid-life facelift for the sixth-generation sedan is very similar to the updates on the Fiesta hatchback, which was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September. In lines with the new design philosophy of Ford, the Fiesta sedan now also gets the appealing hexagon front grille.
Ford has also tweaked the rear by adding a chrome strip to the bumper. It has made the change after receiving feedback that the rear was too bland and rather boxy. The Fiesta facelift also gets new alloys, but in terms of overall size the car pretty much looks the same as its predecessor.
Inside, Ford has re-designed the centre console, the interior and the instrumentation. It has also recalibrated the power steering system for better handling. The Brazilian spec Fiesta will continue to be powered by a 1.6-litre petrol-ethanol flex fuel engine mated to a six speed gearbox.
Expect the facelifted Fiesta to come to the Indian market sometime in 2013, it will continue to get its power from four-cylinder 1.5-litre petrol or diesel engine churning out 107bhp and 89bhp respectively.
