- Updates inside out
- To be offered in five trim levels
- Bookings already started at Rs 11,000
Ford India will be launching the Aspire facelift in India tomorrow. The booking amount has been pegged at Rs 11,000 and customers can place their orders at any authorised Ford dealership.
Changes lending a fresh look to the Ford Aspire sedan include a chrome grille with revised headlights and C-shaped fog lamp inserts. Round at the back, there is a redesigned bumper and a chrome garnish. Then, the cabin will feature a dual-tone interior with a new dashboard featuring a floating touchscreen infotainment system.
On the powertrain front, a choice of petrol and diesel engines is expected to be offered with the updated model. These might include a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol and a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder Dragon series petrol engine with an option of a manual or automatic transmission. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel mill could be carried over unchanged or with some re-tuning.
The Ford Aspire is a sub-four metre sedan that was launched in India in 2015. It was introduced at a competitive price going up against the Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze and Hyundai Xcent. We expect the upcoming 2018 Aspire to do the same. Its variant-wise equipment details and respective prices will be announced tomorrow. Stay tuned to CarWale for all the updates.
