A heavily camouflaged Ford Fiesta based crossover has been spotted testing in Europe. It’s a large vehicle and appears to be in an initial stage of testing thanks to the way everything appears under the camouflage.
Our spy sources have suggested that it is a Fiesta-based crossover that will be slotted in between the Fiesta Active and Ford EcoSport. This vehicle, when it reaches production stage, will first be a European model before it shows up anywhere else in the world. The concept of this SUV, in the Indian context, has much potential in this part of the market as it a fast growing segment with big volumes.
It’s over 4 meters in length and by Indian classification, it will be a D-segment SUV. This means it will take on the likes of the Maruti S-Cross, Nissan Kicks, Kia SP2i (in production guise) and of course, the Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster. This is a price bracket of around Rs 10 lakhs to Rs 15 lakhs.
