American auto giant Ford has started shipping its all-new F-150 Raptor to customers in China, marking the first time any US-built F-Series truck has been officially exported to China.
The 2017 model of the incredibly popular F-150 pick-up has been completely upgraded with better styling, interior, more efficient engines and capable off-road hardware. Exported as a four-door SuperCrew model, the 2017 F-150 Raptor leverages the latest technologies, including a military-grade aluminum-alloy cab.
The all-new Raptor features a high-output version of the 3.5-litre EcoBoost engine, plus a 10-speed automatic transmission and six-mode terrain management system.
Other features include a high-strength steel frame with custom Fox Racing shocks with higher ground clearance, BFGoodrich off-road tires and performance exhaust system.
The F-150 Raptor is one of more than 12 new Ford Performance vehicles coming by 2020. It joins the GT, Focus RS, Shelby GT350 and Shelby GT350R. The pick-up is built at Ford’s Dearborn Truck Plant in North America.
