Ford India’s combined domestic sales and exports in April accounted for 16,470 vehicles. Both sales and exports have increased for the American carmaker from the corresponding month last year.
Domestic sales in April grew to 6,531 units as against 4,931 units, while exports grew to 9,939 vehicles compared to 9,284 vehicles in the same month last year. Overall, sales in April 2016 grew to 16,470 vehicles from 14,215 vehicles in April 2015.
Anurag Mehrotra, executive director, Marketing, Sales, and Service at Ford India said, “Our three-pronged brand transformation strategy based on introducing products that customers want and value, addressing the cost of ownership perception and delivering a differentiated customer experience continues has enabled us to deliver above industry growth rate.”
Ford also strengthened its sales and service footprint in April by inaugurating new facilities in Amravati, Dhanbad, Renukoot, Faizabad, Gonda and Satna to reach 376 sales and service facilities in 209 cities across the country.
