Ford India shows a growth of 35.26 per cent in cumulative sales for July 2016. The carmaker sold 17,742 units last month as compared to 13,116 units sold in the corresponding period last year.
Ford's domestic sales also show a 62.21 per cent rise in sales performance in comparison to the corresponding period last year. They sold 7,076 vehicles in the country, last month, in comparison to 4,362 units in July 2015. The manufacturer’s exports also show a growth of 21.84 per cent as they exported 10,666 units sold last month, when only 8,754 units were exported in July 2015.
Anurag Mehrotra, executive director, Marketing, Sales and Service at Ford India, said, "Ford in India is steadfast on its promise to deliver more value to customers. Our domestic wholesale growth is a proof that the actions we are taking to enhance the entire customer experience matter to our customers."
It is clearly not one model that has helped the company to pull up their sales numbers even if the manufacturer has not given out the model-wise sales numbers. The company's sales success can be attributed to some products from their line-up, which have fairly done well. The Figo series of cars and the facelifted EcoSport are cumulatively adding to the entire upward trend of sales. On the other hand, Ford has started taking bookings of the Mustang in Mumbai and Delhi.
