Ford’s 2015 Mustang has been the talk of the Internet for some time. Its launch is also in time for when Ford is planning to set in motion celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Mustang. However, the December 5 launch of the new Mustang has nothing to do with it.
Ford Motors has some elaborate plans. It will be organising a five-day long celebration, beginning April 16, and will include a wide range of events from car cruises to live bands, ride-and-drives, exhibits, celebrity appearances and open-track exhibitions. Since the event is of some magnitude, it will be held at two locations- Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Since introducing the model in 1964, Ford has sold 9.2 million Mustangs. The car has made over 3,000 screen appearances and counting. It is one of cinema’s most popular cars, playing pivotal roles in everything from 1960s classics Bullitt and Goldfinger to Vanilla Sky and this year’s Getaway, staring Ethan Hawke.
