The third-generation Ford Ranger that was recently-launched become the first pickup to achieve a five star rating in all areas of Euro NCAP’s assessments. This new pick-up was designed and engineered by Ford Australia and it marks a significant improvement over the outgoing version which scored a 2-star adult occupant rating.
The Ranger’s 81% pedestrian score is the highest score recorded for pick-ups tested by Euro NCAP so far. This performance is the result of a softer front end that absorbs the impact energy and results in better protection of the pedestrians.
