- Ford confirms as the official reveal date is pushed to 18 November
- Will be introduced by Hollywood star Idris Alba
Ahead of the official reveal, Ford has dropped their first campaign revealing the claimed range of their upcoming electric crossover. When it breaks cover on 18th of this month, the Mustang-based electric crossover will have a driving range of 600 kilometres under WLTP cycle, claims Blue Oval.
After controversially dropping the Mach 1 name, the new EV is likely to adopt the ‘Mach E’ moniker. Based on the first teaser from last month and a leaked CAD drawing that surfaced on the internet, we also have here a digital rendering of the new electric crossover. And we hope that the actual car looks equally good as this illustration. We could see the Mustang inspiration all over – including the sharp headlamps, raked fastback roofline and masculine creases all around. Being an EV, it will surely omit the conventional grille but we do expect some cladding for that authentic crossover appeal
Ford continues to remain tight-lipped about other technical details of this new electric crossover, but we do hope to get new information as the official reveal draws near. After revealing the Mach E (as it will most likely be called) at a standalone event in Los Angeles on 18th November, the electric crossover will make its public debut at the 2019 Los Angeles Motor Show. Stay tuned to CarWale for more details in coming days.
