This is the 2018 European-spec Ford Mustang, caught for the first time on the streets of Dearborn. The current-gen Pony car has proven to be a hit overseas, so Europe will get a version of the facelifted Mustang that was shown for the North American market earlier this year.
Like its predecessor, Ford will make key changes including a new grille and light design for both front and rear, as well as some interior improvements and revised suspension settings. European models are likely to continue with specific lighting and suspension treatments. The Euro-spec Mustang EcoBoost seen in the photos is equipped with a black painted roof and new 19-inch ebony black aluminum wheels.
A 10-speed automatic is now available for both the 2.3-litre Ecoboost four and the 5.0-litre V8. The European-spec Mustang facelift is expected to go on sale early next year.
