The facelifted Ford Mustang has been spotted in India once again. It’s a mid-life update for the iconic sports car and will probably be the last major change for the iconic sports car before an all-new Mustang arrives in 2021.
Given how iconic the Mustang’s design is, there’s not all that much Ford has changed on the outside. The package comprises new bumpers, head lamps and tail lamps - just enough updates to ensure that the car looks fresh enough.
Inside, Ford has fitted a fully digital instrument cluster (a first for the Mustang) and also added the latest version of their SYNC infotainment system. Otherwise the cabin remains largely unchanged and that’s not a bad thing at all as its design and layout is another signature element of this sports car.
You can’t have a Mustang and not get the 5.0-litre V8. Actually, Ford only offers this engine in India and well, with 400bhp/515Nm on the tap we don’t think anyone will actually complain. The six-speed automatic has made way for a 10-speed AT (fuel economy bro…) with motivation going to those massive rear wheels.
Currently the car is priced at Rs 74 lakhs but this one will see a slight hike in prices. Even with this increase, the Mustang will be in the bracket where it takes on other nice cars like the Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG, Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG and the Porsche 718 Twins.
