Ford displayed its first ever Mustang at the New York Auto fair 50 years ago. The American auto giant to celebrate this feat, unveiled the 50th anniversary edition 2015 Mustang at the ongoing New York Auto Show. The anniversary edition will be limited to 1,964 units (the number is to commemorate the launch year of the Mustang) only.
The 50th Anniversary Edition is based on the 2015 Mustang GT with the Performance Pack, and is only available in two colours: Wimbledon White or Kona Blue. The car comes in a fully-loaded guise with the only choice being the manual or an automatic transmission. The car will get a 5.0-litre V8 producing 420bhp and 528Nm of torque.
The interiors get a cashmere-stitched, leather-wrapped steering wheel with similar details on the instrument panel, seats, door inserts, and center armrest. It also gets two-tone leather/black upholstery spread on the seats with special embedded logo as part of the 50th Anniversary package.
The Mustang limited edition will go into production later this year and will go on sale around the same time.
