Ford has silently introduced ABS to entry-level Trend trim of the Figo hatchback and the Aspire compact sedan. The ABS equipped trim is called Trend+ and will cost you approximately Rs 12,000 over the price of the standard Trend variant.
The Ford Figo is a B-segment hatchback that competes with the likes of the Maruti Swift and the Hyundai Grand i10 thanks to the price repositioning a couple of months ago. With many car makers offering ABS as standard or an option across their range, Ford has ensured that its entire range of products gets ABS at least as an option right from the base trim.
The Aspire is a compact sedan and competes with the Volkswagen Ameo, the Honda Amaze, Maruti Dzire and Hyundai Xcent. The Aspire is doing considerably well for Ford as it offers good looks along with a sturdy build at a price tag that competes neck-to-neck with Maruti and Hyundai.
Ford has also hiked the prices of the EcoSport by up to Rs 5,000 across the variants except for the petrol Ambiente while the price of the top spec 3.2-litre 4x4 AT Titanium trim of the Endeavour has gone up by almost Rs 77,000.
