Ford India has recorded an overall sale of 27,019 units in November. The American carmaker sold 7,777 in the country whereas the export numbers stood at 19,424 vehicles. The combined sales grew by an impressive 28 per cent.
Last month, the Blue Oval recorded the highest ever export number. Exporting 19,242 vehicles in November, the export rose by 36 per cent compared to the same month last year. The domestic sales increased by 13 per cent registering a sale of 7,777 units over 6876 units in November 2016.
Ford managed a positive growth last month after a disappointing sale in October. The carmaker launched the new and updated Ford EcoSport last month. It debuted the three-cylinder naturally aspirated 1.5-litre Dragon petrol engine. The EcoSport has always been the highest selling model in the Ford line-up. The compact crossover helped Ford bounce back in the month of November.
In November, Ford also inaugurated its new Technical Training Centre at Sanand facility in Gujarat. The training centre is spread over 17,000 square feet with an integrated mechanical and body shop and a training centre. This new facility is aimed to equip a pool of skilled technicians at their dealerships to deliver a differentiated after-sales experience, says the American carmaker. This is the fourth such facility set up by Ford in the country.
