Ford India via its official website has said that the highly anticipated EcoSport crossover will be offered with keyless entry, button start and reverse parking sensor with display. However, the top-end Titanium variant that was on display last month did not have any of these features – so either these features have been recently incorporated in the list or will be available as optional extras on the Ecosport.
Ford has released a brochure for the compact SUV (sadly, sans the technical specifications) that details some of the features including Microsoft’s SYNC technology, which Ford has now begun using in many of its vehicles globally. The brochure also says that the EcoSport will be offered with front and curtain airbags.
The Ford EcoSport will be the American automaker’s foray into the highly competitive crossover market. Here the sub-four meter vehicle will have an advantage in pricing over its competitors including the Renault Duster.
