Ford India has achieved a 19 per cent hike in overall sales in November 2013. The carmaker sold 12,050 units last month, which includes sales in domestic and export markets.
Ford managed to sell 7,909 cars this November as against the 5,944 cars it sold in the same month last year showing a healthy growth of 33 per cent in the domestic market. The growth can be mainly attributed to the launch of the new Ford Ecosport, which still has a long waiting period. Ford India’s exports on the other hand have remained unchanged at 4,141 units.
Vinay Piparsania, Executive Director of Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford India, commenting on the sales report said, “We are happy that we continue to register steady sales growth despite persistent market challenges as Indian consumers respond enthusiastically to our smart, fuel-efficient and dependable vehicles. At Ford, we strive to provide best-in-class products for our valued customers. This festive season, our smart and exciting offers added to the joys of ownership.”
