Ford India registered a 49 per cent growth in domestic sales over October last year by selling 10,008 vehicles as compared to 6,723 units. The overall volumes including exports are at 20,240 vehicles as compared to the 11,630 units. Ford India has managed to more than double the exports to 10,412 units as compared to the 4,907 units in October 2014.
Ford launched three new products – the Figo Aspire compact sedan, the Figo hatchback and the updated EcoSport – before October to cater to the car buyers wanting a new car for the festive season. The up-to-date products with priority towards safety and good driving dynamics seem to have been received well by the Indian customers.
Ford India has also launched Ford Credit India offering retail vehicle finance at an attractive rate of 8.99 per cent in 17 cities across the country. In terms of network, Ford India has extended its reach by adding four new facilities in Gurgaon. More recently, Autoji Ford Parts has been appointed as a dedicated distributor for its spares in Maharashtra to ensure availability of spares.
