Ford India has achieved a domestic sales of 7,618 units in the month of April as compared to 6,531 units in the same month last year, registering a domestic year-on-year growth of 16 per cent. The exports, on the other hand, stood at 17,531 units in April this year, growing by an impressive 76 per cent, compared to the 9,939 units exported during the corresponding month last year.
Thus the American carmaker registered a combined sale, both domestic and exports, of 52 per cent selling 25,149 vehicles in April this year over 16,470 in April 2016.
Compared to last month, when Ford managed a combined sale of 24,832 units, this is a miniscule growth of 1.2 per cent only. The domestic sales in the month of March were higher at 8,700 units while exports were on the lower side at 16,132 units.
Anurag Mehrotra, executive director, marketing, sales and service at Ford India, commenting on April sales, said, “Ford continues to outpace the industry with a consistent double-digit growth in domestic sales, thanks to our capable and dynamic product portfolio.
