The Ford GT has been the American auto giant’s most advanced production ever. Interested customers can submit their application for the sports car on fordgt.com. Ford has limited the production to just 250 units per year, and the initial ordering period will cover the first two years of production - 500 vehicles.
Speaking on the occasion, Henry Ford III, global marketing manager, Ford Performance said, “The purchase process for the Ford GT is as unique as our all-new supercar. We understand GT customers are strong ambassadors for Ford Motor Company and we look forward to providing them a service as distinct as the car itself.”
The Ford GT is indeed one of the rarest Ford products ever. Applicants are given an option to choose their preferred Ford dealership. Once the application is approved, the purchase will be completed with the help of the new Ford GT Concierge Service. Assistance from Concierge is not just restricted to ordering and delivery, but also through the years of ownership.
The sports car will be available in eight exterior colour options including the popular Liquid Blue. The vehicle will be available with four different interior themes. To make things more interesting, Ford has also offered seven different stripe colours that can be chosen as per the exterior shade that has been opted for. The Ford GT is known for its lightweight body structure, aerodynamics and EcoBoost engine technology that places it a cut above the rest.
The new Ford GT website features a configurator which offers consumers a chance to build the Ford GT of their dreams, and easily share their dream configuration with the world through social media. The configurator features a breakdown of colour combinations, wheels and materials for the Ford GT, including details on the interior themes.
However, the Ford GT is not offered for the Indian market and fans will have to make do with the Ford GT configurator only due to the car’s exclusive status.
