Ford India has issued a recall for products including the new Aspire, new Figo and the FreeStyle. The company has also issued a separate recall for the previous generation Endeavour, details of which are available here.
According to Ford, the company is carrying out an inspection related to the Battery Monitoring System (BMS) wiring harness installation. Models including the FreeStyle, Figo and Aspire manufactured at the brand’s Sanand plant between September 2017 and April 2019 are affected under the recall.
Ford has revealed that individual customers owning the affected cars will be informed and requested to take their car to the authorised dealership. Ford India has not revealed the number of units affected due to this recall.
