Ford India recently launched the Figo Sports Edition in India. This special edition is not just a cosmetically tweaked car, but also sports a re-tuned suspension set-up. It is based on the regular Figo's Titanium trim and priced at a premium of Rs 50,000. Check out the images of the car through this picture gallery, which will take you through the alterations on the car in detail.
The Figo Sports edition boasts of a new mesh grille at the front, flanked on both sides by a pair of smoked headlamps.
The blackened roof you see in the pictures is basically a body wrap. But you can go in for a white theme too, but only if black is your choice of colour for this car.
Other body colour options, however, come only with a blackened roof and ORVMs. The new Figo is offered in five colour options - ruby red, sparkling gold, oxford white, tuxedo black and ingot silver.
The Figo sports also gets side decals, with an S badge. Another addition is a new set of 15-inch black alloy wheels.
At the rear, this car comes equipped with a roof mounted spoiler and a few decals on the bumper too. This also helps in differentiating the Sports edition from the standard hatchback.
The cabin of the car gets an all-black treatment. All other features on offer have been carried forward from the Titanium trim of the regular Figo.
The only other changes inside include a leather wrapped steering wheel that is stitched with contrasting red coloured thread. The seats also get the same thread treatment.
The Figo Sports Edition comes with the same 87bhp 1.2-litre petrol and 99bhp 1.5-litre diesel options like the regular Figo Titanium.
A five-speed manual gearbox is standard. But the dual clutch automatic gearbox has not been offered since the Sports edition can't be had with the 1.5-litre petrol engine either.
