The India-manufactured Ford Figo has earned a four-star safety rating in Latin NCAP. The vehicle is on sale in the Latin American market and it has earned pointers for adult occupancy as well as child occupancy. In terms of safety, the car gets four airbags, ESC, ABS, front seat-belt pretensioners and Isofix child-seat anchorages.
In the front impact crash test, the Ford Figo offered adequate and good protection to the head and neck of the driver as well as the passenger. The front passenger received good protection from chest injuries, while the driver received marginal chest protection. Moreover, the vehicle offers good feet protection and marginal knee protection to the front passengers.
The car offers good protection to a three-year-old child during the frontal impact test. During the side impact test, the vehicle offers good protection to head, abdomen and pelvis, while chest has received marginal protection. The child occupant has also received adequate protection during the side impact test. However, the bodyshell integrity of the Figo was rated as unstable.
