The interiors of the Ford Figo hatchback have been spied ahead of its official launch later this year. It will be the second major launch from the American automaker and follows hot-on-the-heels of the Aspire compact sedan that was launched last month.
The pictures reveal that the hatchback gets the same layout and features as the compact sedan but with a full black colour scheme and silver inserts as compared to the Aspire’s beige and black layout. The seats too have been carried over but now sport a black trim package.
We are almost certain that the Figo hatchback will be offered with two engines - a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. The former produces 87bhp/112Nm while the latter has an output of 99bhp/215Nm. There is a high probability that Ford may also offer this car with the 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol and six-speed dual clutch AT. This engine produces 110bhp/136Nm.
This new car has some big shoes to fill as it is set to replace one of Ford’s most successful and well-known products in the country. If we are to go by the standards set by the compact sedan then the hatchback should be nothing less than successful for Ford.
