-Mid-life update for second generation Figo
-Cosmetic updates for interiors and exteriors
-Petrol and diesel power
-SYNC3 infotainment system
The updated 2019 Ford Figo facelift was spotted at a dealership ahead of its launch on 15 March. This is a mid-life update for the second generation Figo and sees it get cosmetic updates along the lines of what the Aspire received a few months ago.
From the pictures, we can see that the updates will comprise of chrome elements for the grille and bumpers as well as a new design for the alloy wheels. The interiors will continue to be an all-black affair but, now it also comes with a digital display for the climate control system as a well the SYNC3 infotainment system - a much needed addition for the hatchback.
Like the Aspire, we expect that the Figo facelift will get the new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Dragon Series petrol engine producing 95bhp/120Nm and comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. On the other hand, the 110bhp 1.5-litre petrol powerplant is being offered with a new six-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. Finally, the diesel model is the 100bhp/215Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The Figo is the Ford-badged rival to the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and the Tata Tigor in the B+ segment of the Indian car market. We expect a minor increase in prices over the outgoing model.
