Ford India recently launched special 'Sports Edition' models of their subcompact sedan Ford Aspire and the Figo hatchback. This new S Edition adds a sporty touch to the car's look and is aimed at buyers searching for a unique-looking Aspire. Apart from some cosmetic changes, the carmaker has also tweaked the suspension of the car while keeping the powertrain options the same. Check out these pictures.
This Sport variant gets the regular grille design but with an all-black treatment. The OVRMs are painted black and there's an S badging on the side body cladding.
The dual tone paint job complements the sporty look of the car. The Aspire misses out on the spoiler that can be seen on the sports version of the Figo hatchback.
This Aspire Sports edition rides on 15-inch alloy wheels unlike the current set of regular variants which are sold with 14-inch alloy wheels on the higher versions.
This Sports edition will be available on the top-of-the-range Titanium+ trim only. Features remain the same but the interiors are tweaked a bit to lend a sporty appeal.
Mechanically, the car uses the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both the motors come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox as a standard.
