After showcasing the car to the Indian market through various marketing activities, Ford India has finally revealed the specifications of the soon-to-be launched Figo Aspire sub-four metre sedan.
The Figo Aspire will be sold in India with three engine options. The 1.2-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine makes 86.8bhp and a maximum torque of 112Nm. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox and returns an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 18.16kmpl. The second petrol engine in question is the 1.5-litre Ti-VCT that churns out 110.5bhp along with 136Nm of peak torque. This particular engine is available only with a six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission that manages to deliver an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 17kmpl, which is not bad.
The Figo Aspire gets the same diesel engine from the Fiesta. The 1.5-litre TDCi Duratoq engine produces 98.6bhp, a maximum torque of 215Nm and comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Ford India claims that this particular engine manages to deliver an ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of 25.83kmpl.
