Ford had launched the Fiesta, just a few months ago with the new 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines. The Fiesta petrol will soon get a new dual-clutch transmission. This will be a 6-speed autobox that Ford calls it PowerShift.
The Ford Fiesta petrol will be powered by a 6-speed Powershift transmission, and will be the first car in this segment to get a dual-clutch transmission. The Ford Fiesta automatic will compete with the Hyundai Verna, Honda City, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid and the Maruti Suzuki SX4. The Vento and the Rapid are the only other sedans that have a 6-speed gearbox, but the Fiesta has a 6-speed autobox.
