What you see are the first pictures of the 2019 Ford F-450 platinum trim that was spotted testing in Michigan, USA. The revised car will get a restyled nose, highlights of which include a new grille, revised head lamps and redesigned air dams. Other than these updates and the new tail lamps, the exteriors will be carried over from the current model.
However, the mechanical updates are more apparent. Apart from the new V8 motor, the present six-speed TorqShift gearbox will be replaced by the new 10-speed automatic transmission that’s been borrowed from the Raptor. It is believed that the current 385bhp 6.2-litre V8 petrol motor and the 6.7-litre 440bhp diesel engine will be retained with some tweaks to enhance overall performance. Although details are scarce as of now, sources suggest that the variants are likely to be carried over from the current line-up.
The Ford Super Duty trucks sit at the top of the company’s truck line-up, and is known for their styling that’s similar to the F-150. The differentiating factor, though, is the use of more rugged chassis’ and suspension components for better payload capacities.
