The next generation Ford Endeavour/Everest has been spotted in China. The car was unveiled at the 2014 Guangzhou and will be officially launched for the People’s Republic in October of this year. The car gets a significant amount of cosmetic updates but remains the same mechanically.
Based on the Ford Ranger Pickup truck, it is the third generation of the SUV. It is being offered with a 2.0-litre turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engine producing 238bhp/260Nm, a 2.2-litre duratorq diesel engine producing 150bhp/385Nm as well as a 3.2-litre diesel mill producing 200bhp and 470Nm of torque. All engines can be had with a six-speed manual or a six-speed AT. The cabin design and feature list are very similar to what is offered with Ford Fiesta.
We in India will get this new car by the end of the year and it will be offered with the 2.2-litre diesel and the 3.0-litre diesel mills.
