Ford India will launch the new generation of their popular flagship SUV, the Endeavour, tomorrow. This will be the first all-new Ford Endeavour since its launch in 2003. The all new Endeavour will replace the discontinued 2015 model.The front of the new Endeavour with its high bonnet, highly mounted front bumper and large grille looks muscular and features new headlights with DRLs. The side of the SUV has flared wheel arches and 18-inch wheels. The rear has a thick chrome strip joining the tail lamps. The spare wheel is mounted under the boot and not on the tailgate unlike its predecessor.Inside the car, the dashboard looks contemporary and comes with a touch-screen Sync 2 system which gets Bluetooth telephony, and voice command. The top of the dashboard is leather wrapped and the interiors are dual tone. There is 2300-litres of boot space with the third row folded into the floor.The Endeavour will come with two diesel engine options. A 2.2-litre engine which makes 148bhp and 385Nm of torque with an option of automatic and manual transmissions. The larger 3.2-litre engine which makes 197bhp and 470Nm of torque will just get the automatic option and comes only in 4x4. In terms of safety, the new Endeavour, across all variants, gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, hill hold function, traction control and seat belt pre-tensioners.The new Endeavour will be offered in shades of red, bronze, white, silver, black and grey. It is expected to be priced at Rs 24 lakh for the 2.2-litre-MT and about Rs 30 lakh for the 3.2-litre AWD AT. Furthermore, it will take on the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero and the Chevrolet Trailblazer in India.
