- Changes will be limited to cosmetic and feature upgrades

- Lower variant likely to debut with a 2.0-litre 180bhp turbocharged diesel option
Ford dealers have started accepting bookings for the Endeavour facelift unofficially ahead of its debut in the country sometime soon. Interested customers can book the new Endeavour SUV at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. Changes will be limited to cosmetic and feature upgrades and it will compete against the likes of the Skoda Kodiaq and Toyota Fortuner.
Visual changes will come in the form of newly designed headlamps with longer LED DRLs, a new front grille and new fog lamp surrounds with silver cladding on the lower half of the front bumper. The muscular SUV will sit on newly designed 20-inch alloy wheels. The interior will get premium upholstery along with more features in the form of an electric sunroof, parking sensors with camera, power seats, power mirrors, et al. The infotainment system will be upgraded to Ford SYNC 3. This time around, the new model will also be offered with a push-button start/stop function.
Under the hood, the Endeavour SUV is available in two diesel engine options – 2.2-litre and 3.2-litre. The 2.2-litre, four-cylinder engine generates 157bhp of power and 385Nm of peak torque, while the 3.2-litre, five-cylinder engine generates 196bhp and 470Nm. Currently, both the cars are available with a six-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and with the new upgrade, the smaller engine is expected to be offered with an optional manual transmission. The bigger engine, on the other hand, will continue to be offered with AWD option. It is also speculated that the lower variant might be offered with a 2.0-litre 180bhp turbocharged diesel option.
