Ford India is set to introduce a new EcoSport Thunder Edition in the country, and the new model was spotted this week at a dealer’s yard. The Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition is based on the Titanium trim level and features cosmetic updates to the exterior and interior.
The new set of spy shots suggest that the EcoSport Thunder Edition will feature matte black decals on the hood, doors and the tailgate as well. The car also gets a set of new 17-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, the EcoSport Thunder Edition features gloss black inserts in place of the chrome accents on the regular model. The SUV also gets dual-tone black and beige interiors, along with new fabric upholstery for the seats.
Besides the cosmetic changes, the Ford EcoSport Thunder Edition will continue to offer equipment similar to that of the Titanium trim. Powering the EcoSport Thunder will be a 99bhp/205Nm 1.5L TDCI diesel motor, as well as a 121bhp/150Nm 1.5L Ti-VCT petrol engine.
We expect the EcoSport Thunder Edition to carry a slight premium over the regular model, which is priced at Rs 9.57 lakhs and Rs 10 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the petrol and diesel versions, respectively.
