The Signature Edition is priced at Rs 10.40 lakhs for petrol and Rs 10.99 lakhs for the diesel.
The new variant of the EcoSport debuts a power slide sunroof which the American carmaker likes to call as ‘fun roof’. The EcoSport S also debuts Ford’s famous 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engine mated to a six-speed manual transmission. It gets new smoked HID headlamps flanking the blacked-out grille. Similarly, the fog lamps, roof rails and front bumpers have been done in black too. The compact crossover sits on stylish new 17-inch alloy wheels. The new Ford EcoSport is available with seven colour options.
On the inside, the seats and the instrument panel both bear orange accents. The instrument panel also gets a larger 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster with the tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS). The eight-inch infotainment screen comes with SYNC3 connectivity. There are six-airbags in the cabin for added safety.
Sitting under the hood is the famous 1.0-litre EcoBoost three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 123bhp of power and 170Nm of torque. It comes with a six-speed manual transmission. The oil burner is the same 1.5-litre TDCi motor with 99bhp on tap. The six-speed automatic transmission gets segment-first paddle shifters, cruise control and hill launch assist.
The Signature Edition is based on the Titanium trim and is offered in both 1.5-litre TiVCT petrol and TDCi diesel. The Signature Edition gets cosmetic updates like chrome surround on the grill, diamond cut alloy wheels, graphics around the fog-lamps, rear spoiler and roof rails.
