After posting all the details of the updated Ford EcoSport recently, we have now come up with a photo gallery of the newest variant. This Platinum Edition was launched yesterday for the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 10.39 lakh. Ford will soon start delivering this version to prospective buyers. Take a look at the features through these detailed pictures.
The EcoSport Platinum Edition gets very few cosmetic enhancements like a black roof and new alloy wheels. The front and rear bumpers get new appliqués as well.
The compact SUV gets a dual-tone colour scheme. This is because of its black roof which is a paint job and not a body wrap.
The new pattern for the alloy wheels looks funky and gives the car a fresh avatar. These are 17-inch alloys with wider Apollo Alnac 4G 205/50 R17 tyres.
Compared to the present EcoSport, the biggest change inside is the 8-inch touch screen system. Otherwise, everything else is identical to the EcoSport Titanium sold in India currently.
This touchscreen infotainment system sits on the top of the dashboard in place of the small screen on the standard variants. It supports mp3 music, video playback and satellite navigation as well.
The system is paired to a rear view camera that gets activated once you put the car in the reverse gear. It also gets guidelines to assist you to park the car.
This Platinum Edition model exclusively gets the cruise control feature. This is one feature that many EcoSport owners missed on their car earlier.
This Platinum trim will be available in the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol and 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine options only. The former is priced at Rs 10.39 lakh (ex-Showroom, Delhi) and Rs 10.69 lakh for the latter.
