Ford working on its plans to increase the presence of the Ecosport in the Middle East countries has displayed the compact SUV at the ongoing Dubai International Motor Show.
The Dubai International Motor Show saw a broad line-up of vehicles from different car manufacturers from across the globe. These vehicles included completely new cars, facelifted models and vehicles decked up with the most recent innovations and technologies. Ford, not staying far behind, also displayed the Ford Ecosport, Ford Fusion sedan and the Mustang.
Ford seems to be contemplating on launching more cars in the Middle East countries and South Africa as they think them to be future markets for their products. Their products already enjoy good demand in many markets and so the next logical step for them was to scout for more prospective markets. They have a future plan of launching 17 new models in both the Middle East and South Africa in the coming two years.
Stephen Odell, President, commenting on the development, said, “The Middle East and Africa is poised to become one of the next big automotive growth markets and we want to be there for these customers with great new cars and trucks. Ford and Lincoln sales have grown 60 per cent in the Middle East over the past four years, and we expect total industry sales in the combined Middle East and Africa region to increase nearly 40 per cent to around 5.5 million units by 2020.”
