Ford EcoSport is now easily accessible to our Defence and Police personnel. Ford India is offering their most successful vehicle, the EcoSport through Canteen Stores Department (CSD) and the Central Police Canteen (CPC) across the country.
Ford India has already been offering the Figo, Classic and the Endeavour through these facilities since many years now. For defence personnel, the price of the cars are usually quite low when compared to the market price. The Government of India provides subsidised rates for cars, which is usually achieved by waiving/reducing the sales tax of these vehicles depending on the state. Under this scheme, Ford India will also be giving priority delivery to serving and ex-servicemen. However, we don’t think there is much waiting period for the EcoSport in the regular market.
Powered by three engines, the Ford EcoSport is one of the most successful vehicles in the India. It gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine that churns out 109bhp and also gets an automatic gearbox option. The other two engines are the 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine, which produces 123bhp and 1.5-litre diesel engine that generates 89bhp and 204Nm of peak torque.
